As we all know, there are pros and cons of entrepreneurship. Regarding the advantages, you have more control because you choose the work you like to do and that result can be more job satisfaction. Also, more flexibility, freedom and the profit is much bigger but it's directly associate with the company's success. It is true that to start some small businesses you need money but not necesarilly a lot. For example, when I was in high school we had a course of business where we created a cookie company. My friends liked our cookies so much that we kept selling them after that. If we would have continued the company it could have brung us large profits. On the other hand, there are also small businesses that could be started with no money. Like for example a service company, such as babysitting, massages, cleaning services, etc. I think many students say that they need money to start a business because they automatically associate business with products and they forget that could also be of services.

WENDYS POST

The possibility for starting a small business are endless.  This past summer I assisted my 15 year old nephew in starting a small car washing business.  I enlisted him in washing my vehicles and told him if he did a good job I would help him solicit other customers in the neighborhood. He did an excellent job and often washing up to 15 vehicles in the neighborhood per week during his break from school.  There is little overhead with supplies and materials and his profit after the first week allowed him to stock up on cleaning supplies.  One of his parents help and supervise him in the washing and detailing of the vehicle.  His prices are super cheap, the whole point is to teach him that you can be your own boss and start a small business by plugging into a service that is needed in the area and capitalizing on your skill set by providing a great service and and let customer feedback fuel your local neighborhood customer base.  I have consider starting a small business by assisting parents and students applying for scholarships and grants and assisting in tax preparation.  I currently volunteer my services and realize there is a need for these services because many individuals don't have a desire to do the research and paperwork needed to access the thousands of dollars that go unclaimed each year.  Starting a small business involves finding something you are passionate about doing and being committed. It is important to do the research, seek legal help and establish a tax ID to ensure you are in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
