Barbara overall strategy recommendation

In the UCCO case, the institution is analysed to determine its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. These factors will help UCCO to formulate a plan unique to its operations. To come up with the proper overall strategy for UCCO, Barbara has to consider all the factors affecting the organization both positively and negatively. Barbara recommends improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the services and operations of UCCO. According to Proctor (2013), the implementation of strategies requires a solid description of items and their uses in realizing the objective of a plan. The employees of the UCCO should focus their work on realizing the overall strategic plan.

Importance of EHR system in a health institution

UCCO institution is faced with the challenge of having electronic records. EHR, a system to record, store, and transfer health records will be crucial in realizing the implementation of the overall strategy. EHR will ensure the provision of satisfying services to patients and provide better health records management. Devkota and Devkota affirm that the EHR is a crucial consideration in the overall strategy in an organization helping in reducing medical errors, improving patients and health providers' interaction, and providing safe guided health care. Therefore, the EHR system will be an important plan to implement in UCCO institutions and making it the best choice for the provision of satisfying services to patients.

Development of action items in strategic planning

Barbara should develop an action item based on the performance of the institution and the services offered. These actions include the improvement of equipment, improvement of the health facilities, and proper management of resources. These actions should be harmonized with the EHR system to ensure error reduction, adequate record-keeping and management, and creating an interactive relationship. The action items should be well stipulated about their purpose, implementation, and the due date for completion. This will help to ensure that the strategies are implemented within the planned duration also, realizing the objectives in time. Action items should be recorded as they are discussed in the minute of the meeting to ensure items are implemented as discussed.

Recommendation of outcomes basing action items

Implementing the overall strategy of UCCO using the discussed action item will ensure the realization of improved efficiency and effectiveness in service provision and operations of UCCO. This institution will be able to create social media platforms to advertise their services and interact with their patients. UCCO will be able to provide special services all-round the institution that will satisfy the interests of UCCO. Compliance with the relevant regulations of health services and HIPPA will be implemented and customer services improved, hence, creating an undivided trust for patients to seek services from UCCO. The institution will be able to compete with other health institutions in providing health care services and solving health problems fully at affordable costs for their community. Therefore the institution will be able to realize an increase in revenue due to the increased number of patients and the realization of its objectives.

Conclusion

In conclusion, strategic planning and implementation is a crucial factor to work on in an organization to realize the objective of the enterprise. Action items should be carefully selected and their usefulness and implementation well formulated. These activities will ensure a smooth preliminary for the implementation process of a strategic plan.
