Healthcare professionals have to ensure they display personal behavior ideal for the representation of ethical contact principles affiliated of honesty, autonomy, respect, in addition to justice. It is necessary for the professionals to avoid situations whereby partake in derogative language, violence racism, or any form of harassment using technology or any other approach. From the case presented, it is arguable that the nursing manager failed to protect the patient’s information, which is an indication of lacking security culture mindset, inability to conduct a security risk evaluation, or develop a significant patient-information privacy policy. The idea of protecting patient information is necessary because it promotes a more efficient communication platform between the healthcare professional and the patient. Effective communication is necessary because it enhances the quality of care, an enhanced autonomy, in addition to prevents economic harm. The patient needs protection from other concerning issues such as discrimination and embarrassment from any sort of information that may lick to a public domain.

Being legally complaint with protection of patient information is one of the most crucial codes of ethics in the modern day health care. The process is significant because it contributes to the provision of valuable benefits for any society. Improving human health as well as health care standards relies abundantly on information collected through health research that emphasizes on the importance of protecting patient information. The process of protecting patient information entails carrying out research that aims at harm and preservation of their rights as an essential element under ethical research (Saranto 2014). Integrating computer software is appropriate because it prevents any instances of deliberate refusal of information and protection of a system from any possibilities of physical harm. The value of security is to ensure the health records remain safe from any person that is unauthorized to gain access to the content.

The perception and attitude of patients regarding the privacy of health records as presented through health research is one of the necessary areas that needs to be addressed. The availability of empirical evidence concerning the privacy of each piece of privacy information is vital to the process. Age and religious requests possess different kinds of bearing to the case of the 13-year-old patient. Health care experts need to make sure they maintain morals that are bound from an ethical point of view to ensure that they observe qualities such as privacy, confidentiality, in addition to dignity of the patient (Saranto 2014). Ethical and Professional Factors of Using Social Media

Using social media within the health care setting is likely to raise several issues affecting professionalism. For instance, the physicians may encounter problems associated with privacy and confidentiality because social media jeopardizes professional boundaries. The boundaries are necessary because they ensure there is no miscommunication that may lead to inappropriate information about a patient getting to unauthorized or the wrong person (Andress & Cerrato, 2016). Maintaining the integrity and accountability of professional health care workers is an important quality supported by the ethical factors restraining them from using social media platforms when on duty.

The reactions to the case were purely unethical because ethical expectations include responsibility of healthcare professionals to the public, the profession, and the employers. Healthcare experts have to be actively engaged in educating, promoting, activities supporting maintenance, and enhancing the health status of patients (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2018). The responsibility for upholding professional behavior is a significant method of embracing accountability to the profession because it entails supporting the reputation of their practices. Procedures involved in protecting patient information consist of carrying out research that aims at harm and preservation of their rights as an essential element under ethical research.

Confidentiality in the case provided involves safeguarding the information collected through context about a patient that entails addressing the issue of maintaining the details exchanged from a physician to patient relationship. The essence of confidentiality is to prevent physicians from instances whereby they disclose information shared they have regarding a patient. Security is crucial because it is procedural as well as technical measure necessary for prevention of unauthorized access modification, use, in addition to dissemination of the details stored in computer-developed application.
