What topic did you choose?

The topic that I chose for my Quantitative Reasoning Project was Humanities and Science Scenario. This scenario has to do with the predicting college tuition and fees. The years they have described on the list are years 2004 thru 2015 and want us to predict the year 2018. I have children they will be attending college in the next few months then the next few years. So this has me interested to see how much we are talking in in the coming year how much tuition has and or will rise.

Why does it interest you?

As I mentioned above, I have children that are to be attending college here in the near future. Also the fact that I am in college and wanting to see how much this education costs as well as my wife wanting to return to school too. I just want to see how much all this is going to cost overall. And with the numbers on the list and the estimate I will predict I can multiply that answer by three or four to get an estimated total of tuition for all my family to attend school.

What do you hope to discover in your analysis?

I am determining that there will be a very large number that will come out in the end of my analysis, with regard to finding the total estimated cost of college for my family and me. As for the chart I also will be able to determine the amount of college costs for the near future. This estimate will help me and other to determine the cost of college and how to finance it.
