The prevailing problem of gun violence in the United States results in thousands of deaths every year. While many die out of gun violence, many are still sustaining injuries related to irresponsible use of guns in the United States. Death results from personal injury by accident or by committing suicide. According to the Research for Every town, out of the total number of gun related deaths, more than sixty percent results from personal injury. These issues are attracting serious debate on control and use of guns in the United States. There is need to establish and enhance stricter gun control regulations.

Thesis: Even though many argue that the U.S. should not enact stricter gun control regulations, I maintain that they should because it will reduce rate of massacre and fear.

In the Newsweek article “Gun Control in the US,” Tamara Lytle analyzes the perspective of Republicans and Democrats on the gun–control issue. According to her, Republicans and the NRA insist on the Second Amendment as it enables freedom upon the right of self-defense and it lifts away the fear of power by the federal taking advantage of the state. While the Democrats emphasize that background check should be conducted for gun purchasers as many murderers have purchased guns legally Lytle finds. While it may be true that the US should enact stricter gun control regulations, I assert that gun purchasing regulations should be strengthened to minimize the rising deaths.

Body Paragraph 1

Topic Sentence: The first reason the U.S. government should adopt basic restrictions on weapons is because of the high rate of man-slaughter in the country. According to the recent data records, it shows that United States has the highest rate of killing innocents in the world record. The country legislators passing the Second Amendment law in order to guarantee personal right and freedom of power by the state from the federal enable many gun owners to have access to guns of which kill they people as they desire. These gun-shooters execute their evil acts in places where guns are not allowed. Additionally, the background checking to have access to gun is very easy for everyone across the country. The mental health society should advocate for community based mechanisms of solving problems to prevent gun violence. This should integrate strategies aimed at eliminating the element of the self-centeredness. Evaluating the gun holder should be evaluated to ensure they are of sound to minimize instances of giving guns to people who compromise the security of others based on their mental health status. Intervention strategies should involve police training in crisis intervention strategies, and training them on mental health first aid. There are should be vast public campaign aimed at enhancing safe gun storage. Firearms must be kept safe and locked as the only socially acceptable behavior.

Every household possesses arms whereas majority does not have concealed places for these weapons. As a result of killing innocent beings, many Americans are afraid to go to public places with a large number of people. Alan Gottlieb, the founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, and the Legislature are to blame.

Body paragraph 2

Reports on mass shooting in public places create nervousness for citizens of U.S. Gun-owners have access to buying the weapons of their choice and take decision of executing people as they wish. Majority of guns used in mass shootings were bought legally with little background check which allow the murderers to terrorize people. All the leaders reject the most basic restrictions on certain weapons; instead they offer prayers for gun victims and also place a higher premium on profit from spread of more powerful firearms. The Editorial Board, the New York Times asserts that Americans who carry weapons of war need to hand them over for the good of their fellow citizens. A Democrat, Gabrielle Giffords who survived being shot eight years ago at a political rally led supporting group to focus on gun control and figure out the solutions to stop mass shootings in the United States. People want more protection from the government in order to be free of fear. There is need for the government to strengthen institutions that are aimed at the ban on military-style assault weapons to control the weapon crisis. There is need for the specification of guns owned by the public, and should not resemble those used by the military as they have been used to carry out mass shooting. Some models of guns should be outlawed to be owned by the civilian. There is need to outlaw the sale of some models of guns based on their lethality. Federal government should not only outlaw but should also ensure thorough background checks on purchasers before they are granted the full right to own a gun.

In conclusion, it is obvious that Republicans and Democrats have different perspective of enabling citizens of U.S. to have a safe society when it is gun control issue. However, what need to be understood is not who owns the gun but the underlying issue that regard the safety of the civilian. The Legislature need to change the Second Amendment by passing stricter background checks, along with restriction on war weapons by civilians which would put a stop to killing of multiple innocent people. Further, issuance of guns should be based on strict measures that aimed at restricting irresponsible use of guns. Furthermore, every gun owners in America should turn in all firearms in their custody after it would have been passed by the Legislature as laws which could give majority assurance of peaceful country. Moreover, the legislature should be careful to pass legislature that enhances submission of guns that are owned by the civilians. Agreement between the two political parties on the need to change the Second Amendment would stop many civilians from using concealed guns of which will reduce crime. It is important to stop basing the issue of gun violence on politics since it is a matter of importance for all the citizens. The government should aim at executing collaborative role in fighting irresponsible use of guns among the Americans. It would protect the public from mass shooting, reduce unpleasant emotion that someone is likely to shoot, but only if both parties are prepare to compromise on masses safety.
