HWE IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

An implementation plan involves performing improvements in the processes that have already developed throughout the project's entire life cycle. The implementation methods can include changing over, data insertion and migration, configuration management, and the release process for system upgrade. (VORONKOVA et al. 2018)

Change Approach

System change over means replacing the old system with a new system developed to improve either the business performance or the obsoleteness of the old system that the organization used in operating its activities. Several system change methods over; these include; parallel changeover, phased changeover, pilot changeover, and direct changeover. (Ali, 2017)

A similar modification is when an old system runs alongside the new system until the new system is fully functional. That is, for example, having the system run in some departments of HWE like the human resource department, leaving other departments to use the old system, like the finance department, which cannot risk a new system not thoroughly tested to ascertain its functionality. Once the system performs well in one department, the implementation begins in another department. The cycle goes on until the entire organization, in this case, HWE, gets the new system implemented.

Phased changeover. The phased change over occurs when small parts of the new system slowly replace the old system's remote parts. Some of the advantages of the phased changeover are the training of the new system can be partially completed; also, the failure of the new system cannot significantly affect the entire organization.

For HWE, it would employ a parallel changeover; this is because HWE has vital information that, when lost at once, there would be a significant loss on the business. The parallel change over will enable HWE to gradually implement the new system by introducing it into some of its departments. It is already a developed organization and has a running system in place.

Data Insertion and Migration

Data insertion involves introducing new data in an organization; for instance, HWE will only need to carry out data insertion in the areas that did not exist originally while using the old system. These are areas like system security and cloud computing; it would need to introduce new data to make these new areas perform. On the other hand, data migration is just changing the storage of already existing data or changing the storage medium of the data. For HWE, it would only need to move the data stored physically into hard discs, compact discs, and other cards to the cloud as it is entering into cloud computing as it implements the new system. (Aksyonov, 2018)

Configuration Management

Configuration management takes the form of information technology service management. This ensures that the automation of data; completed with high integrity. At HWE, the organization will ensure every physical information is digitized, to move away from paper works. As mentioned above, HWE is moving to the cloud; therefore, it will employ highly qualified information technology personnel to carry out automation of data. HWE will also install security measures for its data online to ensure that Trojan or hackers do not attack it.

Release process for updating the system.

HWE will have to carry out the method of piloting to ascertain the usability of the new system. A certain number of users will be selected to use them for the system test. Here. They will give back the feedback on how the system is, its efficiency, and ease of usability, such as the interaction with the interface. Once ascertained through the pilot study, the system will then be ready and set into operation.
