The Spider Sculpture

Most artistic works display emotions, feelings and ideas of the individuals involved. These emotions and feelings are displayed in artworks such as paintings, sculptures and drawings by artists. They are then displayed in the museums, historical sites and other important places that display important information to public. The ‘Spider’ is a sculpture artifact that was created by Louise Bourgeois in 1996 and explains aspects of restoration and good will of people (Bal, 2001). This artwork was created in form of spider to depict the arachnid’s propensity for spinning webs which explain the good will of people in helping others. The description of the ‘Spider’ sculpture displays its meaning and message as explained below.(CAN YOU INCLUDE WHERE THE SCULPTURE IS LOCATED CITY,STATE)

To begin with, the Spider sculpture is of large and big size that can be seen by individuals from far distance. The sculpture is more than thirty feet high and its width is also large. People can easily pass through its legs underneath since it’s so large. This makes it possible for many individuals to have good sight of the sculpture from good distance. Bourgeois created the Spider sculpture to be of high and large size as well as tall to make it unique and visible by many individuals. This also adds to the message propelled by the sculpture, that is, to enhance more good will character and personality of helping others among people (Bal, 2001). This to increase the high number of people helping others because the sculpture is large implying large and many good will characters are depicted by the sculpture message. This is because the spider sculpture was created to explain the spider webs which the artist, Bourgeois explains to be restoration of helping and family love of mother. They prevent people from falling or danger. Therefore, large and big sculpture implies large and extra big spider webs and more number of maternal love, good will and motherly family care from individuals motivated by the sculpture. hence (the yellow highlighted area entire needs to be reworded so that the reader has a clear understanding on what your trying to say. There are run-ons incomplete sentences and grammar error that need to be corrected) . This spider sculpture was meant to pay tribute to Bourgeois mother, who was a tapestry restorer. This therefore means to continue her work as a restorer to other individuals.(reword this sentence doesn’t make sense isn’t clear)

The size of this sculpture however has been varying(incorrect grammar) with different periods. This is because the artwork has undergone several changes as new forms have been created from the original one. They are of different scale and numerous versions. Artists have depicted information from the original sculpture and created other versions that include the monument. This move has greatly changed the physical appearances of the Spider sculpture. Since artists have different mindset, they end up varying the size and shape of the sculpture as it (word choice doesn’t flow) was in the original form (Bal, 2001). The physical appearance also changes. This includes its color and thicknesses and size of the legs to the spider sculpture(reword this line so that it doesn’t sound or look like a sentence fragment you have to many And). New versions have provided for some specific colors that favor the artists something that also changed the almost colorless sculpture created by Bourgeois. (this entire line doesn’t make sense or flow .

Beside this, the materials used to create this sculpture were bronze and granite. Each leg of this giant spider sculpture has three sections made of bronze rods and are joined to the cylindrical part of the sculpture. There are needle legs in the lower section of this legs which have different inclinations and sizes. This makes it possible for the spider sculpture to appear as if it’s moving on the floor. The spider has a cage structured which is round in the middle body part. This cage is cylindrical that allows for an extension for eight thin legs to be attached from the same rounded cylindrical cage. This makes it to appear as a real giant spider that moves on the floor (Bal, 2001). The bronze and granite materials however are not used in all new versions of this sculpture. This is because new versions are from different regions that have different types of materials to create the sculpture. The type of materials used for the sculpture also depend on the place where the sculptures are going to be placed, this is because some materials are well maintained in houses and under shade while some are well for outside sculptures(reword this line something missing) which don’t require shade. This justifies the reason why artists use different materials for the new versions of the spider sculpture. The materials that are now used include clay, different types of metal, plaster of Paris, plastic and wax. These are used depending on the location and size of the sculpture. For instance for inside sculptures the artists have been using unfired clay, wax, plaster of Paris(you missing punctuation here) while those for eternal(eternal what) display plastic, bronze and granite as well as cement have been greatly used.

In summary, it is true that artists use artworks to show their ideas, emotions and feelings as well to pass information. Bourgeois has used the Spider sculpture to pass information that depicts maternal family care of mothers which are displayed by the spider webs and legs. He supposes that( is it one display or several because throughout this paragragh I don’t know if your talking about one sculpture or several revise and make clear) giant spider displays large amount of love, caring and good will of mothers to their families. The physical appearances of this sculpture have however changed with introduction of new versions of it from the different artists (Bal, 2001). The differences results from different materials used to create the sculpture, the different sizes and coloring of the spider sculptures. (this is an incomplete sentence, what about the size and color) However, the sculptures have common spider figure.

You have to go back and proof read and revise the highlighted areas to make sure the paper include A FULL DESCRIPTION AND PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTE OF THE PIECE ,AND WELL WRITTEN POINTS )YOU DID A LOT OF THESE THINGS CORRECT BUT FIX A LOT OF THE GRAMMAR ISSUES AND ALSO INCLUDE A PARAGRAGH ANALYZING WHAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU VIEW THE ART AND SCHOLAR TO SUPPORT YOU VIEW BY CITING). THIS CAN BE AT THE BEGINNING, MIDDLE OR END TIE IT IN WHERE NECESSARY. MAKE SURE SOURCES ARE SCHOLARLY RESOURCES(SOMEONE WHO STUDY SUBJECT) TO BACK UP YOUR FACTS) I SEE WHERE YOU DID THAT IN SOME AREAS) MUST BE MLA AND ADD MORE TO CONCLUSION TO FINALIZE THE PAPER. OVER ALL PAPER IS GREAT. I WILL PAY MORE THAN 20 FOR NEXT ASSIGNMENT.
