About: Large Museum explaining human rights within Canada and around the world, it is a good place to learn about the world. Opened 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed on Sunday and Monday
Pros: close to the hotel, cheap admission- $20.00 per person, close to the Forks, informative to guests.
Cons: Parking fees- $2.00 per hour

About: Location 1 Fork Market Road, 5-minute drive,12-minute walk from the Red River Inn, large nature walking area. Lots of attractions available throughout the year, some noted: Splash Dash, Skating at the Forks in the Winter, walking tours and the Forks Market is available all year round, 7 days a week.
Assignment Details:
Your individual task is to prepare a memo-style justification/recommendation report on why it is necessary for front desk staff to be familiar with attractions in this city.
After attending the initial meeting, each student will select an approved tourism attraction from the list provided and create a justification/recommendation report. You will present your recommendation in the second meeting to compare the features and benefits of why your attraction should be the one chosen for the FAM tour.
Follow the outline provided in to structure the report/memo.

Do not start your report with the phrase: I am writing this report because…
Your introduction will include an explanation of why you are writing the report. Explain (summarize) the purpose of a familiarization tour and how the information gathered on the tour will used by the Front Desk Staff. Explain how you collected the information. (Explain how you researched different places.)
Make your recommendation (As you are sure your boss will support your choice - see page 170 in text) Make a logical and reasonable explanation about why the place you are recommending is appropriate. In other words, explain how you have solved the problem by making this recommendation. This information will also come from your discussions in your meeting.
Attraction Options: Attractions One and Two -Your choice and the recommendation from the meeting. (If your choice is the one selected in the meeting use another attraction discussed in the meeting)

3. Admission costs (must be applicable/related to guest type.) Do not simply list admission costs for all groups.
