Juvenile justice

Juvenile justice refers to the legal system that deals with children with conflict with the law or who have committed offenses punishable by law. The immature systems provide strategies that help young children to rehabilitate and change their lives. (Anderson, V. (2018). Disproportionate minority contact refers to the connection of juveniles from some minority groups with the juvenile system, which are different from contacts from other groups. The seven steps brief template gives directions on how a juvenile case should be handled and what has to be presented. These directions include the parties involved, the crime committed, and events that led to the crime. (Hoagwood, K. E. (2017). The issues leading to the disputes have to be determined, and the culprit is held for the time specified by law while at the same time given reasons for being held. Both parties have to give their arguments to defend their clients, and the accused has to provide personal comments on what they have been charged with to protect themselves.

The DMC played a major role in the sentence given to Morris because he was an African American. He came from a minority group made the authorities charge him with specific charges, which may not have happened if it was an American being accused. His family background, structure, and socio-economic status may have played a major role in the charges he was given, together with the decision to commit him to juvenile services. (Davidson, W. S. (2018). DMC makes the youth in a community not get the required access to education and other important facilities because they are sidelined due to their origin from minority groups. Due to DMC factors and their way of working, the youths in juvenile detention centers experience overrepresentation because other factors lead to unfair treatment. Their differences in those centers bring a huge disparity regarding how they are treated differently from everyone else.
