LAW AND BUSINESS SITUATIONS
LAW AND BUSINESS SITUATIONS
1) Discusses the impacts and applications of intellectual property and copyright in business situations, differentiating between commercial and personal use. NOT MASTERED!!!!!
For this criterion, you will still need to identify the other two primary types of intellectual property and whether they are applicable or not to Amy's business. IN addition to copyright, what are the other two primary types of intellectual property?
I highly recommend that you refer to the Unit Resource: Intellectual Property and Copyright.
2) Discusses partnership as a business entity versus sole proprietorship for informing current business implications as a sole proprietor and potential business implications of a partnership. NOT MASTERED!!!!!
As I mentioned previously, please ensure that you include clear definitions for "Partnership", "Corporation", and "Limited Liability Company (LLC)". Once defined, then you'll need to make a recommendation for which of the business organizations would be the best option for Amy; being sure to also explain why it would be a good choice. Lastly, be sure that you also discuss partnership as a business entity versus sole proprietorship for informing current business implications as a sole proprietor and potential business implications of a partnership. What are the business implications of having a partnership versus a sole proprietorship? Again, you've done a nice job with your information on sole proprietorship, but still need to discuss how that differs from having a partnership.
Refer to the following Unit Resource: Business Organizations and Legal Implications
3) Discusses the basic employment laws—including OSHA, FLSA, and privacy laws—that would impact Amy’s business and potential employees. NOT MASTERED!!!!!
To master this criterion, be sure that you also address privacy laws as they relate to employees. What privacy laws should Amy be aware of if she decides to hire her own employees?
Refer to the following resources: Employee Rights and Responsibilities Unit.
4) Clearly conveys meaning with correct grammar, sentence structure, and spelling; shows understanding of audience and purpose. NOT MASTERED!!!!!
Please review your project to ensure that your information is clearly written with no major grammatical errors. You have addressed different topics in different places throughout the project. You also repeat the same information in different parts of the project. This makes it very difficult to determine if you've addressed all the requirements. Of the ten pages you have submitted, there is a lot of the same information just in different parts of the report. You also have numerous grammatical errors throughout that impact the clarity of your information.
5) Lists sources where needed using citation methods with no major errors. NOT MASTERED!!!!!
Holding off review for now.
