Implementation of Data Warehouses

Use the weekly reading as background information and then conduct a comprehensive literature search. It is important to keep in mind that there are very specific components that must be considered in the construction of a DW including:

• Data sourcing • Data conversion and extraction • Database management system • Administration • Intelligence tools • Metadata techniques

Identify three components and determine two or three efficient approaches to implementing the selected three components. For each component, you should provide at least two scholarly, peer-reviewed works that provide sufficient background for supporting your implementation view.
