Introduction
Our organization is characterized with transformational leadership style. Our manager encourages and inspires us create change and innovate for future of our organization. The manager works with teams to identify change and mobilize support to execute the change. Our manager is committed to vision and mission of the organization. He creates a vision for us and guides change through motivation and inspiration. Our manager mentors us to go beyond our expectations. He changes organization towards new tracks instead of following historical tracks. Our manager develops a vision and strategy of the organization and mobilizes team towards achieving the new vision.
State the problem
Leaders face challenge to mobilize team to implement change when they decide on change they want to implement on their own without involving other team members.
Literature review
Today, organizations desire to create changes for survival and development. Leaders are tasked with the role of facilitating change in the organization. Only transformational leaders can mobilize team members to develop and implement change in their organization. They increase employees’ satisfaction and dignity. Involving employees in making changes in the organization motivates them and improves their performance. Managers of all levels need to cooperate with others to realize the desired results. Leaders should give employees opportunities to develop commitment to change (Korejan & Shahbazi, 2016).
Leaders and their followers should motivate each other for higher morality and motivation. They should have better relationships with each other. Transformational leaders should pay attention to personal development of their employees. They should also act as role models to their employees. They should motivate employees to work hard for the organization past their self-interests. They transform individual interests into collective interests. They encourage team members to pursue organizational goals.
Changes are happening fast and they cannot be anticipated. The growth of business and global competition has raised the unstable environment. Transformational leaders are needed in such situations to deal with uncertainty. They take actions that enable organization to improve its performance in unpredictable environment. Transformational leadership becomes competitive advantage for organization earn higher returns in short term and long term. Transformational leadership helps organizational members to choose to support organizational changes (Korejan & Shahbazi, 2016).
Summary of results
Transformational leadership contributes to success in any organization. Transformational leaders use their personal abilities to encourage other individuals to perform better for the benefit of the organization. They enhance organizational performance by motivating people in the organization. They involve organizational members for the success of the organization.
Conclusion
Transformational leaders have friendly behavior that create trust and respect for their followers. They pay more attention to the needs of their followers than their own needs. They always avoid power of personal interests. They provide free flow of ideas for their followers to reach new approaches and techniques. They provide learning opportunities for their followers based on their skills and interests.
