JIIM organizations play significant roles in the theater security cooperation environment. Each of the four organizations is tasked with various roles and responsibilities contributing to the holistic approach to develop defense relationships. Increasing Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) interoperability is critical in improving the security cooperation environment. The United States is committed to developing the correlation with nations across the globe. These promoted cross-border relationships are critical for protecting our national interest’s overseas, in-depth defense to our country, and setting a foundation to establish future coalitions to win federal and international wars (Tomich, D). The Theater Security Cooperation environment facilitates the development of contemporary defense relationships. The national and defense interests are positively linked to the growth and development of the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) organizations.

The Theater Security Cooperation environment contains a variety of participants and contributors. These are the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational organizations, which have the potential to enhance an approach to develop defense relationships. However, these organizations contribute to responsibilities and add to the complexity of the TSC environment. JIIM organizations tend to struggle in understanding the roles of each other in defense strategies. The integration of these efforts contributes to the creation of independence of roles and responsibilities pursued in the perspective of multinational relations and defense. JIIM is often used to build an effective collaboration between independent national and multinational organizations to pursue a similar objective (Tomich. D). Homeland defense and positive relations are among the key goals of the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational organizations, and they play a significant role in shaping international relations.

In the process of creating positive and effective relationships between these independent organizations, it improves the ability of a person’s perception of the environment. Joint organizations are essential in determining the capability of corporate staff and countries to associate efficiently and enhance proper defense mechanisms. Additionally, interagency operations incorporate the international organizations, public and private agencies, foreign nations’ agencies, and religious organizations that operate to enhance shared goals with other firms and empower international civil services. The United States is at the forefront of ensuring that interagency operations are designed to facilitate a smooth flow of activities amongst agencies and ensure that all goals are met (Tomich, D). CSMs and SGM needs to understand the roes of the JIIM to be able to advise their commanders on what courses of action they need to make. It helps to plan for missions when the command teams knows what each element is capable of doing and what they need help with.

The introduction of globalization has been highly linked to the Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational organizations that support diplomatic relations. Security is among the key goals of intergovernmental, whereby the positive relationships are supported to improve the lifestyles and interactions amongst countries. Multinational organizations are not left behind in bettering the social, economic, and political landscapes of countries across nations. As such, Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational organizations are special national and international associations that shape the theater security cooperation environment and support the defense in diplomatic relations.
