Gender Inequality
There has been discrimination in almost all sectors in the human society all over the world. Gender inequality was and still remains the largest contributor of societal inequality. Although gender inequality includes discrimination of all gender, the number of women and girls being discriminated against is far much beyond recognition. Though some researchers defend the social evil as not being entirely caused by gender inequality, the evidence before us proves otherwise. Gender inequality is a thorn in the flesh and continues to bite each day. The problem has been brought about by the cultural values that each and every community holds and their religious beliefs on gender equality all over the world. Gender inequality has contributed to loss of lives as well as women and children brutality not to mention sex trafficking. Therefore, this essay will discuss gender inequality and suggest various ways through which gender inequality can be reduced if not eliminated from the face of the world.
In an article about the wealth dynamics and how they affect income Distribution. According to Bermin, the gap of inequality and distribution of wealth is on a constant increase despite efforts to reduce the gap. The article researched on the root causes of these problems in order to come up with suggestions on solving wealth distribution inequality. The research can be so useful in establishing more ways in ensuring equal distribution of property and wealth. The research is vital to my field of study as it widens my understanding of gender inequality in the society.
The topic of gender inequality has been crucial to the world’s social welfare. This has prompted the United Nations to conduct research on the causes, effects and problems associated with gender inequality. The results from the study have pushed the United Nations has risen up to spearhead the fight against this monster. The research carried out the organization sheds light on various aspects through which social inequality can be seen. Women are used as sex tools as seen through the sex trafficking records; some societies have associated them with the kitchen and nothing more. The study went further to investigate other social injustices and ethnicity, gender inequality and income came up as the biggest sources of inequality. The article went ahead to urge the readers and the society at large on the need to erase these injustices from the face of the earth. The United Nations also came up with ways through which the problem can be dealt with (Cuddy, 2015). I find much importance from this article because the issues it talks about affect all the people in the world and their wellbeing for better lives. It also helps in my course through provision of important information needed for research.
Gender inequality has had a great impact on the world’s economic status. Research conducted on equality and economy established that many women suffer from huge debts which they take to sustain their families with no stable income (Lindsey, 2018). This, according to the study was contributed by the dominance of male people in all sectors of the economy that is job, property ownership which are major sources of income. According to Lindsey, greatly affects the economic development all over the world. The information gathered from the research shows that the poverty level in women and children are relatively higher in than in men. For this gap to reduce, women inclusivity should be embraced as recommended by the research. This research article is so important in providing a wider knowledge and skills on matters inequality and poverty among women in the world.
Human rights all over the world have been interpreted differently. In some cultural societies, women and children have no rights as only men have rights. For example in North America, women are greatly despised, ashamed and suffer from social dishonor. According to Howard-Hassmann, women live in terror and have no rights whatsoever in the community. This article is a collection of various blogs that touch on the major topic of gender inequality and provides unending data on the causes how the society treats women. The article goes further to talk about the different types of inequality and injustices that women in Northern America go through. This, is only a representation of the problem with much more form the other research journals. The article advocates for better healthcare and nutrition for women and children. According to Howard, empowering women is empowering the society at large. This research will provide much importance to my education and be meaningful in provision of information for my final paper (Howard-Hassmann, 2018).
In conclusion, the fight against gender inequality is far from over. The religious and cultural beliefs held by different societies should be cut off and people given the knowledge on the need for gender equality. The social development, girl child education as well as economic development all depends on gender equality. Denying it only delays the world from progressing at the required pace.
