SKYSPACE

Skyspace was one of the most amazing arts that I had come across. The experience was the best I have ever had when it comes to arts and creativity. The reason behind it is associated with the fact that art was a combination of pure art, creativity, and innovation. The experience was good because of two different reasons. The first reason was the implementation of a creative mind. The logic of the art was motivated by the aspect of experiencing both day and night without limitation. The creativity part comes in place when the artist thinks contrary to what other people think. For example, shelters and electricity are used to defeat both day and night respectively. However, the artist was more interested in breaking the trend or norm.

I saw a situation whereby one is not limited to experience either day or night at the comfort of his or her house. The artwork might have many meanings, and they depend on the audience. The first meaning is associated with nature. The art demonstrates that nature can be excellent in every state. The second meaning is related to the transfer of experiences. According to the art, it was evident that a night experience could be enjoyed as much as a day experience. The art makes sure that there are no limitations to experiencing either the day or the night.

Nature inspired the art, and the life of the parent of the artist inspired the artist. The separation of day and night inspired the art, and this is because it comes in place to try and defy the rule of day and night. The sick parent of James Turrell inspired him because he thought of how light could be penetrated in the house. By doing that, it would not be necessary to take a sick person out for light.
