Module Two/ 1 st Journal

For Module Two record in your journal what you have learned about yourself from the selfassessment as well as what your personal goals are taking this course. Write your goals in such a way that at the end of the course you can ascertain if you have met these goals (SMART goals – see text). A minimum of four measurable goals should be set. Monitor your own emotional responses and practice diagnosing others’ emotional cues. Record two instances of monitoring your own emotions, and two instances of diagnosing others’ emotions. In each instance describe the situation in sufficient detail to relate the emotion you record with the situation

Module Three/2 nd Journal Entry

Develop your personal stress reduction plan: 1. Start by systematically addressing/identifying the major stressors you face in each area: a. Time (Not enough time) b. Encounter (People you interact with) c. Situation (Circumstances) d. Anticipatory (Future events) 2. Set goals on stress reduction, identifying the ways you will reduce stress using the three approaches (eliminating stressors; increasing physiological, psychological and social resiliency; and practicing temporary stress reduction techniques).Your plan should include: a. 3 time management technique goals, b. 2 physiological goals, c. 2 life balance goals and d. 1 stressor elimination goal. As you establish your goals identify the specific actions/behaviors to meet your goals, and how you will monitor your progress/success (SMART goals)

Module Four/3 rd Journal Entry

Identify a problem you are facing and write 3 definitions for that problem using the guidelines provided in the module. Report on the progress with your stress elimination plan.
