John Dewey’s was an American philosopher
He was also an educational reformer whose ideas have been influential in social reform and education
He was one of the most prominent American scholars in the 19th century
He believed in groups of people coming together to problem-solve in a peaceful way,
John Dewey's philosophy of education
Dewey’s believed that education should be based on democracy not on the basis of authoritarianism
He recommended on interdisciplinary curriculum or curriculum that have been focusing on collecting multiple subjects where students are allowed to go to school
This will enable them pursue their interest, thus enabling them to acquire knowledge
Through his idea many student got an opportunity to access education without any form of discrimination

Despite of subjecting children to education institutions, they require time for leisure
Leisure is very important to every person
Having leisure time allow the brain to rest as well as enables the body to rejuvenate

Aristotle
Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece.
On the basis of metaphysics, Aristotle states that there must be a separate and unchanging being that is the source of all beings
In ethics, he believed that it is only by becoming excellent that one could achieve happiness that leads to best kind of life
Aristotle philosophy of education
Despite being a philosopher and polymaths he state main points concerning education
Education is the integrity of knowledge
Education is the beginning of an individual to gain knowledge
He believed that the purpose of education is to gain knowledge and happiness
He believed that education is a necessary element of life
He also stated that education is not meant for all people
Aristotle idea on education
Aristotle saw the goal of all human behavior, the end toward which all action is directed
Leisure in this sense is reflection on oneself, and one major prerequisite for this is the freedom from obligations and necessities of life.
There were no difference between Aristotle’s idea on leisure with the idea of Dewey's
they all believed that leisure is very important in humans life because he or she is able to relax

John Dewey criticized Aristotle’s division of education underlying in his psychological division of rational and irrational people.
Dewey believes that education should be such that no one is exclusively meant for labour only- liberal arts should be affordable for all.
Unjust division- will produce workers and leaders.
Imbalanced society : Rich would shy from manual work.

Aristotle and Dewey were both philosophers and they contributed a lot to philosophies
There are ways in which Dewey criticized Aristotle
