Now let’s suppose that we find that Betty’s supervisor is not extremely friendly, other employees have voiced some “feelings” about her, and she can be perceived as "condescending" toward new employees until they perform on par with the other employees. She has been a supervisor for many years at this company. As a Job Placement Specialist, how might you deal with the situation?

1. List at least 2 possible actions you will take with this situation. You may assume the customer has disclosed their disability to the employer and the supervisor. The Job Placement Specialist, you, has had interactions with the employer at one of your twice monthly meetings at Betty's place of employment.

1. List Juan’s interest’s and job skills.
2. Use the Labor Market resource research tools or other research tools to find three businesses/employers in your community that may fit Juan’s interests or skills. (This is not looking for open positions or job opportunities.) List the business name, contact person, and phone number.
3. Using complete sentences in a descriptive narrative paragraph format, and people first language, provide justification/statement for each business as to why, you the JPS feels the business is a good fit for Juan. Ensure you address any accommodations or needs related to his disability in your response. (NOTE - this is not an Elevator Speech. The information should not be identical for each business/employer.)
4. List three or more assignments/homework/methods the JPS will use to involve Juan in the job search process.
5. Ensure you address any accommodations or needs, related to his disability, in your responses.
