SECTION 1. PRIMARY JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 

 

Communications 

 

Identify effective strategies for reaching CET employer partners and stakeholders 

 

Develop CET materials for employer partners and other community stakeholders, adhering to SOME branding guidelines. Works with SOME's Director of Marketing and Communication to receive approval of all materials.  

 

Disseminate CET materials to employers and other community stakeholders  

 

Develop appropriate messaging about CET, in coordination with overall SOME messaging ,and provide training for CET staff and graduates 

 

Analyze effectiveness of marketing and communications approaches with corresponding analytical reporting 

 

Develop social media plan for CET in partnership with SOME’s Communications and Marketing team. Implement social media plan with CET staff, students, alumni, and employer partners.  

 

Create and deliver marketing and social media campaigns for special events throughout the year 

 

Develop a strategic system to capture student testimonials for use online and in print material  

 

Provide content management for CET pages within SOME internal and external websites, under oversight of SOME webmaster. 

Outreach 

 

  

Create, implement, and maintain all community engagement functions and short- and long-term strategies, ensuring that they are innovative, high-impact, and focuses CET in the local communities. 

 

  

Provide counsel to SOME Director of Marketing and Communication and CET Leadership regarding present and potential public relations concerns and/or opportunities for expanded community engagement.  

 

  

Assist with the expansion of cooperative partnerships with businesses, government, community and other local relations priorities. 

 

  

Manage the planning and budgeting process to set up a goal-oriented annual budget. 

 

  

Analyze community engagement efforts segmented by specific target populations, geographical parameters and method of engagement. 

 

  

Serve as CET spokesperson at various community meetings. Meet with Commissioners and community organization staffs for the purpose of increasing communication and fostering a positive image of CET. 

 

  

Works closely with SOME Director of Marketing and Communication Development to ensure consistency with its representation when engaging local government, community agencies and various stakeholders 

Program Operations 

 

  

Oversee work flow of application, enrollment, orientation, course completion, and graduation 

 

  

Plan and organize all aspects of SOME CET annual graduation ceremony 

 

  

Monitor, track and provide oversight of program externship to ensure appropriate and timely placements, evaluation and compliance of participating sites  

 

  

Ensure Staffing Consultants are networking with employers and identify opportunities for potential placement and externship 

 

  

Approve negotiated terms of externship with industry professionals 

 

  

Monitor, track  and  provide oversight  of job placements for employment and recruitment/enrollment  to ensure program goals are met 

 

  

Develop comprehensive systems for both adminsitrative and admissions support at CET 

Supervisory 

 

  

Ensure appropriate department staffing levels in order to meet objectives; Assess, evaluate, and hire new employees as needed. 

 

  

Contribute to budget development, and use sound judgement to leverage resources in accomplishing department goals; Administer budget and comply with SOME financial reporting requirements. 

 

  

Contribute to strategy development and strive to improve department functions and performance;  Assist in development of standards and goals as appropriate. 

 

  

Submit administrative paperwork to Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, and CQI; Refer to SOME Employee Handbook or policies for guidance. 

 

  

Maintain professional documentation and ensure the program is in compliance with SOME CQI standards. 

 

  

Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal laws governing the workplace and all department functions. 

 

  

Schedule staff work hours, as needed, and monitor for time and attendance; Approve time cards and requests for leave. 

 

  

Provide direction and guidance to staff members on department operations and procedures.  

 

  

Define work requirements, assign tasks to staff members, and review work for quality and accuracy. 

 

  

Provide regular feedback on performance, monitor individual performance, conduct performance evaluations, and take steps for performance improvement as needed. 

 

  

Provide coaching and training for staff, assist staff with work processes and policies, and encourage opportunities for professional development.
