JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager for Hudson’s Bay

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Sales.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Sales and Marketing Manager will provide leadership to the team, manage e-commerce, and communicate with vendors. They handle the daily operations and ensure the aesthetics of the store is visually appealing. They train and motivate employees, guaranteeing a positive work environment. They attend meeting with buyers, appear at runways to observe new trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Addresses poor performance. Initiates and administers corrective action when necessary.

· Ensures timely follow-up

· Attracts, recruits, and hires high caliber talent

· Create growth strategies for our multi-channel marketing and online presence

· Creates and fosters a culture that ensures the customer is the focus of all activities and

· encourages a positive team atmosphere that enables the team to meet or exceed sales goals and achieve consistently high levels of customer service

· Create presentations for all marketing vehicles, such as catalogues, inserts, and ad campaigns.

· Coordinate departmental activities and operations

· Develops strategic decisions and delivers on them based on long and short-term

objectives and global perspective, while ensuring alignment to company initiatives through managing, merchandising, visual, operations, finance, and human resource initiatives

· Develops team to execute company programs and processes by prioritizing, simplifying,

· and following up to achieve desired results

· Design promotional materials for B2B and B2C (including printed materials and

· catalogues, e-mail marketing and brand collateral)

· Directs store management on critical human resource decisions and staffing for the store

· Managing digital platforms and e-commerce website, including product uploads, monthly

· reporting, inventory, process design, blogging, SEO, social media (paid and organic) and content creation

· Manage and update our international B2B sales platform

· Measures and monitors progress and results against key initiatives

· Strive to minimize staff turnover and keep team headcounts at acceptable levels

· Train employees on product knowledge, store activities and established policies and procedures

· Work with buyers on product selection for trend stories.

· Work with Senior Vice President on creating exclusive merchandise, identifying key items, selecting advertising, and finding new resources.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in management or other related field

· Experience in the fashion industry and an understanding of various products

· Retail Management and/or District Management experience: 5 years (Required)

· 2-4 years of experience in retail or a similar position.

· Experience with online sales and digital analytics

· Ability to multi-task

· Attention to detail

· Priority-setting

· Time management

· Strong negotiation skills

· Working knowledge of CMS systems

· Strong graphic design skills including experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

PERFORMANCE STANDARD:

· Able to plan marketing strategies for each quarter.

· Hire staff that meet 75% of marketing or sales requirements

· Train new staff up to staff standards within a week of hiring

· Place new staff members into existing groups with 80% approval after 2 weeks

· Meet with poor performing staff weekly to discuss improvements

· Meets with staff weekly to review sales results

· Create presentations for staff and management for all planned marketing materials before the deadline

· Plan and coordinate monthly department team building events
