HEA 530: Job Description: Associate Director of Alumni Affairs

This position is a full-time position that reports to the director of Alumni Affairs. The associate director of Alumni Affairs is responsible for the implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni. Working with University Relations and other departments across campus, the associate director organizes and manages on-campus events and activities that meet diverse alumni needs and bring positive media attention to the college. The associate director also plans and attends alumni events off-campus. Description of Duties:

· Develops, recommends, and implements strategies for promoting alumni activities and programs and services to encourage alumni involvement and participation

· Oversees day-to-day activities of the Office of Alumni Affairs including managing alumni correspondence and visitors

· Formulates and executes a communications program supporting annual giving

· Executes all aspects of alumni event planning including managing budgets and communicating with various individuals and entities, both within the College and in external organizations

· With the student intern supervisor and administrative assistant, plans the activities of student interns to support alumni programs
