Social Discrimination is Unjustified
“Ah, look, Mustafa left his bombs home; ‘ bout to get him some. (Laughing). The life of
every human being is precious and has to be protected by any government of the day in any
country. It is the role of the government or authorities within any country to ensure that they
enforce the rule of law and obey the rights of every person. People did not need to be
discrimination or did not need to be bullied because they are from given region, race, culture or
religion. The human being life is guided based on the rights and the rule of law, the rights
indicate that a person has the right to protect themselves no matter their race, country of origin
or their gender.
Nasir Kan is a Muslim, in the eyes of the unknown people, they believed the Naz has the
same blood as Ben Laden who made the 911 terrorist attacks and believe in the same religion
was a threat to their security under different circumstance. Hence, they classify him to have
character as the same as people who conducted the act and then generalize the religion to be part
of the terrorist even for the innocent people who did not know how the terrorist act 9/11 was
organized and conducted. This can be determined social injustice which many at time come in
different ways such as discrimination and racial abuse in the scene and was denied the right to
defend himself whether he was innocent or guilty.
Naz was found with a bloody knife, which made the police believe that he was the main
killer, however, as a matter of fact, it is that Naz was not responsible for the killings and was an
innocent person who just found himself in the scuffle. Further, Naz made several explanations he
made landed him into more troubles than saving him and his reputation to the general public.
The police did not care to listen but reprimanded him which showed that he a predetermined
decision on how he would handle Naz because he was found in the situation.
The scene further helps in understanding the negligence and the laziness which was
portrayed by detective Dennis Box; he was not concerned that the girl was brutally murdered.
however, Naz had no blood stain on his body. Also, the detective did not do any inquiry to find
out why Naz killed Andrea Cornish. it is the responsibility of the police to interrogate a suspect
so that they can know what transpired under given situation. Nasir suffered the consequences of
racism, the people around the scene seemed to be more racist and then believed that Nasir was
the murderer not because of evidence but because of his race.
iIn conclusion, the scene portrays that racial discrimination is a common issue and one
would be a victim of the circumstances because of their race. pPeople have suffered various
consequences just like Naz because of their race. I believe that the story would have been
different if it was a white person who would have been found under the same circumstances.
From the scene, it is clear that racial discrimination can be conducted be a person of any rank
and how they conduct it would vary from one situation to another.
