The personality assessment conducted was a big surprise to me for certain salient facts about my personality were brought to the fore unexpectedly. Moreover, I had never known that my values are embedded in my purpose. One significant takeaway from JGR 100 is the concept purpose. Purpose is a vehement intention to achieve a long-term goal that is both personally meaningful and makes a positive mark on the world. I found the concept of purpose revealing and educative. I have not only been able to redefine my purpose and develop a passion for it but also to strategize a game plan towards its fulfillment. Equally, I have come to understand that my purpose encompasses our values (the essence of my life) which I never perceived hitherto. My passion drives my purpose which is embedded with my values to get to that final destination. Besides, my purpose may change as I go through life stages amid circumstances.

I have obtained clarity with regards to the concepts of purpose, passion, and values and how they are intertwined. I have modified and redefined my purpose and my passion has gained better motivation and momentum. Coach Gibbs’ story is a clear manifestation of how passion can propel one to success and the ultimate fulfillment of one’s purpose in life. The mere awareness and understanding of these interrelated concepts is a recipe for success. Now I know that a critical ingredient for success personally and professionally is the alignment of one’s purpose with one’s passion.
