Assignment 2: DiSC Assessment Reflection

Remember, this is a reflection of your personality and strengths, so there are no “right” answers. Just be sure to answer the questions honestly and thoughtfully.

My DISC style large falls into dominance style. All through, I regard this as a professional staple in my whole career. I discovered the drive and my underlying perseverance is important particularly in the process of professionally building my career and exceeding in my future endeavors. Following my promotion into a managerial role, I acknowledge the wide diversity in the field of personnel management. As such, dominance style played a key role in getting my new position due to effectiveness and largely because I was not easily intimidated. Again, I realized that investing considering in fostering teamwork played an important in producing better results. Owing to my extraordinary performance in the company, my employer was forced to hire at least two individuals over my ever-demanding position. |
2. Did your results surprise you? Explain why or why not.

The dominance style did not either surprise me at all. I have embraced self-assess both professionally and personally because I have an in-depth understanding such a move is primarily innate for me. However, I was a bit surprised to realize that my overall largely fell into the category of dominance. Owing to the saying that too much of everything is poisonous, I have increased my efforts towards learning as well as practicing other types of styles. I look forward to becoming a more round subject while at the same time extending compassion and embracing conscientious behaviors in my future endeavors. I am not fully satisfied with my current position as far as my zeal for becoming an all-around person is concerned. As such, I can now set my future attainable and measurable goals regarding achieving my aspirations.

4. Describe two (2) situations where one or more of your “priorities” have helped you accomplish a task and/or helped you to be effective when working with others.

In as much as priorities have been helpful in my professional career, I largely treasure the priority of presenting the challenge. In my new position as a team manager, I worked closely with other managers especially those with whom we shared a common goal in my project management. As such, to meet high expectations and consequently produce better results, I unveiled ways of identifying their respective strengths as well as weaknesses. Therefore, I created specific project goals in order to challenge them and thus achieve my committed standards. Eventually, this drive happened extremely effectively in my management projects. |

Making key decisions- I made it a reputation to come up with essential and informed decisions in meetings that featured various executives Pushing people to fulfill their potential- this is personal vice and other players in my vicinity appreciate Stressors Keeping your opinions to yourself self- I called impromptu meetings in cases of emergencies Following strict rules- I don’t entertain breakings rules and thus I manage to maneuver through them legally Slowing your pace for the benefit others- besides practicing and embracing the virtue of patience and understanding, I always advocating for training in my field of work |

Strengths Encouraging creativity in the workplace Setting clear expectations Holding subjects accountable for their deeds I built my management style on the above principles. I lead by example and thus am always accountable for my deeds, and I expect the same from my colleagues. I not only make clear and measurable goals, but I also increase more focus on them. As such, I have been able to develop a harmonious work-life balance Challenges Offering ongoing encouragements- I did by providing achievements awards annually and I try as much as possible to be a role model. Project managements- been there and gained hands-on experience Politician or judge- both careers match my personality but I aspire to be the head of state Public service or counseling- I always aspire to see others succeed in my life and these careers largely suit my personality |
