About us
Wynn Regional Medical Center (WRMC) is expanding and looking to appoint someone to a new role to support the human resource team in payroll administration.

We are looking for a flexible, data-driven senior payroll specialist who will ensure efficient and timely payroll processing in our company. Your roles and responsibilities will include:
• Working under the payroll manager, you will process and submit various WRMC's payrolls accurately and on time. For instance, you will input data into databases and spreadsheets to prepare and submit employee pensions and notifications such as salary changes, new hires, and terminations. In addition, you will act as a team leader in the absence of the Payroll Manager. Comment by Lynne Croteau: Where are you getting your information on a payroll specialist from?

Education Requirements
The essential qualification for the position includes a recognized bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field. In addition, the person must show evidence in their career and professional development. Also, CPP Training, Ceridian Day force, and Thomson Reuter's software experience are preferred. We prefer degree specialization, but other qualifications such as recognized diploma in payroll, CIPP Diploma in Payroll, computerized payroll, or IAB Diploma in Payroll are desirable. These desired qualifications must come with 2 A-level passes and 3 GCSE passes at grades A*-C. Comment by Lynne Croteau: Where did this come from?
Experience Requirements
This position requires 5-10 years of experience in a recognized service professional environment. Also, more than five years of experience working payroll systems, including Ceridian, excel, Word, and complex payroll accounts, would be a more significant asset. The position also requires Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate. Knowledge in leading and managing a team is also required. Some previous experience in accounting fundamentals, including principles, policies, and legislation, is preferred. Salary Range
According to Glassdoor Inc. (2021), the annual salary of senior payroll specialists ranges from $39,000 to $78,000 based on the State. Therefore, I would recommend a minimum wage of $50 000 and a maximum salary of $80,000 for the job holder. In addition, a candidate receiving a total compensation should have more years of experience, a higher education level, in-demand skills, proficiency in payroll system upgrades, and interpersonal skills. The first step to determining an appropriate salary for a new position is establishing a starting salary range based on the company's compensation philosophy and budget. Also, we will conduct market research to determine the State and competitors' average salaries for a similar position and create a salary range based on research. Overall, we will offer competitive and realistic benefits that reflect the applicant's expectations and company. Comment by Lynne Croteau: Remember in the live classroom session that I mentioned you should make sure to have this Senior payroll specialist come in at a salary MORE than the current payroll specialist? You probably want to start at least the same salary as the current payroll specialist since that person is going to report to this Senior payroll specialist.
