You come to this class, and your new venture as a student at Indiana Wesleyan University, with a unique set of God-given gifts and talents.  In this first workshop, we will reflect on those gifts and talents and how God might be using this college student experience to prepare you for a specific purpose that is beyond your wildest dreams.

1.5 Goal Setting and Motivation

Instructions

1. Read Chapters 1 and 2 in Foundations of College Success.

2. Watch the CourseConnect Lesson Presentation media: Goal Setting and Motivation

3. Now imagine that your story is going to be part of a video.  Write a paragraph (or approximately 300 words) describing what you want and how your college education can help you get it. See the Paragraph Sample and Structural Outline for Creating a Paragraph for an example.

4. Open a Word document. Complete your paragraph. Save the document to your computer. 

5. Submit a copy to your instructor using the Assignment Dropbox (Turnitin will be enabled) by the end of the workshop.
