Personal Narrative

My name is Jazlyn Gonzales, and I am a native of South Florida. I am a 12th grade student who would like to pursue a career in anesthetics when I join college. My interest for a career in anesthetics dates to the years when I was in preschool. My mum and I used to visit one of my favorite aunts who had to undergo operations. I remember when my aunt was due for gynecological operations, and she had to tell us that everything could not start until an anesthetic physician performs his assessment and prepare her for the operations. From there onwards I learned that anesthetic physicians are very important professionals who perform assessment of a patient before operation, prepare them for operation, and performs assessment after operation. They make the patients feel comfortable and good. My interest in this specific area of specialization increased as I grew. I developed an interest of interacting with some anesthetic physicians and nurses. I would later learn that other than assessing and preparing patients for operations, anesthetic physicians can also offer therapies, assist patients with dermatology issues, provide necessary injections services to patients with skin conditions, and perform skin grafting.

I have always seen myself as a person who can help people overcome their skin problems, enhance their appearance, improve their confidence, and make them have a positive mindset of themselves and those around them. I have always interacted with some of my friends both at school and at home who find it difficult to associate with other people because of their skin problems or issues such as pimples and acnes. Whenever I meet these friends, I always advise them to seek the help of anesthetic physician. My dream is that one day I will have attained the necessary qualifications and registration requirements to practice as anesthetic physician and help people who experience the same problems like my friends.

I believe I will become an all-rounded anesthetic physician who will have time for the patients and time for matters of personal life. I am a person who loves fashion and always follows all fashion trends and changes to stay updated. Other than fashion, I like traveling, working out, and pursuing any other physical activity that can make feel fit. I am currently in a relationship, and I hope to grow the relationship as I advance to other stages of life. These are the things that I believe will make me become a complete healthcare professional with a well balanced personal and professional life.
