As you review the posts and concept maps, answer these questions:

· Do I understand the argument my classmate is trying to make with this concept map?

· Are there resources that I could share on this topic?

· What is missing from this concept map?

The feedback should offer constructive input for my classmates to improve their concept maps that will help them to construct a more successful research project.

Lucidchart (2018) states that a concept map shows how concepts relate to each other and that it should begin with a central idea at the top and work downwards. PiersSupport (2017) concurs adding that these concepts should be connected with arrows and color-coded for easier identification. I have constructed such a map to organize my thought regarding my research topic. This concept map is important beyond organizing thoughts the greater importance is to make learning about the topic meaningful. Novack (2008) asserts that the concept map provides the choice to learn something new, it is based on exploring the individual’s prior knowledge of the topic, and then helping the individual to present clear concepts with easily understood language.

I have created a bubble concept map to shows the effect of increasing enrollment based on my research topic of Increasing African American Enrollment at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. The concept map begins with an abbreviated version of the research topic at the top and identifies three main concepts identified as the hierarchy concepts; a diverse student population, increased access to higher education, and increased revenue. These hierarchy concepts are connected with clear preposition words to supporting concepts below them. The three hierarchal concepts are color-coded for easier reading. I brainstormed the concepts based on my prior knowledge but as I continue to expand my thinking and refine my scope, I will include other concepts such as how are potential students recruited and supported
