Summary of Arraby by James Joyce
The story is told by an unnamed young individual explaining some of the experiences he used to have when in the street of Northern Richmond and its environment. The story's plot is about the early life experiences, which is noted by how he interacted with the fellow children. The various activities that used to happen in the street depended on the population that was present in the street, like the students from the nearby school. The story also explains the home that the young boy's family had occupied from a pastor and the various things that they found later about the house. It also describes the different relationships that the family had with his uncle, thus depicting the various issues encountered by families typically face in the natural world setting.
Summary of Eveline by James Joyce
The story is about Eveline, a girl who used to reside in a town that was noted to be having various activities in a particular city, where she gets to observe the activities of the town inside the house. The story's plot is about Eveline's multiple experiences to experience in her life in the town she used to stay with his family members. This experience includes the interaction with his fellow friends, exploring the town they used to reside in, the experiences she underwent when she lost his friends, and the life she used to live when she visited a foreign country. The story also explains the relationship that Eveline had with his parents, whereby upon coming back from Canada, she forgives his father, something that has a lesson to be learned.
