1. Identify and list the network security equipment / tools / software to secure the communication and transmission of data between the Baker Manufacturing Company’s data centers from unauthorized external access. HINT: Create a table / chart / matrix verses a narrative. List the components and security tools in the first column. List a recommended vendor in the second column for each component, and a description of why you chose the component and vendor in the third column. Include references to support your list of components in APA format. 

2. Choose one of the data centers and list the network security equipment / tools / software that you would recommend to secure the data center’s “internal” IT network infrastructure from unauthorized external access.  HINT: Create a table / chart / matrix verses a narrative. List the security equipment / tools / software in the order they should be installed between the internet and internal IT network (DMZ design) in the first column. List a recommended vendor in the second column for each security equipment / tool / software and a description of why you chose the security equipment / tool / software vendor in the third column. Include references to support your list of network security equipment / tools / software in APA format.

NOTE 1:  You will use this information in designing your global and data center schematics in Module 1 Assignment 2: Network Schematics. You will also use this information for the assignments in Modules 2 through 5. 

NOTE 2: In the Module 8 Project Final Paper, place list of security equipment / tools and software under the main section called Baker Manufacturing Network Security Design
