Discussion and Response IT or similar business project
IT Project
I would like to work on an IoT or Internet of Things project in the future. It is quite important to note that the Internet of Things is an emerging field and its potential is being understood and explored as time is passing. In fact, even though numerous researches have already been performed on it, its potential is still unexplored. In the future, I would like to work on a project that is concerned with the adoption of IoT devices in the organisation. The project itself would prove to be quite beneficial for the organisation as it would enable the business to achieve the efficiency and effectiveness that is generally not possible through traditional means (Burke, 2013).
In the project, there would be several phases. The very first phase would be the determination of different tools and techniques that need to be considered and adopted. The second phase is specifically concerned with the communication of the objectives of the project with the employees. Meanwhile, the third phase of the project is specifically concerned with the implementation of the project. The last phase of the project is all about ensuring that the required results are achieved and the desired performance is achieved in an efficient manner. When the project is implemented in an effective manner, it would enable the business to not only deliver optimal performance but it would also ensure that the predetermined results are achieved (Meredith, Shafer, & Jr, 2017).
In the implementation of the project, there is a possibility that issues in terms of resistance from employees might be experienced. However, this issue or constraint can be effectively handled when proper communication is established between the management and the employees. It would ensure that the employees are able to comprehend why the project is being implemented in the first place and how it would benefit them. Even though I have not really worked on the project myself, it is important to note that if I ever get the opportunity to work on the same project again, I would make sure to not make the same mistakes and evaluate all the risks before implementing the necessary strategies to mitigate them (Seddon, Calvert, & Yang, 2010).
