Argus is a popular project management cost software to predict discounted cash flow, property value analysis, and construction hard costs in the real estate industry. For our company, we use Argus to predict the cost of purchasing construction and estimate future rent income. Since there are many uncertain factors that will cause the change of the construction period and hard cost, it is essential to use Argus to generate the transaction analysis to control the cost and risks. Another feature of Argus is that it can integrate a lot of industry-standard risks and index into the calculation, which benefits the enterprise to have a more precise cost-budget module.
Besides Argus, our company relies on Monday to control the project cost during the operating period. Monday software helps us to track the project progress in different stages, and its data visualize, and dashboard can directly show the project time and costs. The software is good for a large project such as a commercial building and hotel, it enables the project managers to control the cost risks with different teams and supervise the project status

My company does use cloud computing for data storage and collaboration. Cloud is a mainstay of any company and is the primary form of development and operations in any field of work as they abstract the business from all the operations and IT expertise needed.
The usage is a mix of Saas and PaaS. SaaS services typically include the services provided by Microsoft cloud services including Office 365 and SharePoint. These services are essential for communication including email, messaging, and virtual meetings. The data security inbuilt in the cloud services also ensures confidential company data is protected and access control can be applied to all documents by the respective teams to enable a need to know basis. PaaS provides the flexibility in designating services as per the custom requirements of each team for storage management and infrastructure services required for engineering efforts in the company.
The cost can be justified by the value of the services provided with ease of management, scalability, and security. The alternatives available are also cost-prohibitive to have on-site servers that need a dedicated IT operations team to manage and don't have the advantages of scale and redundancy provided by cloud services.
