Prompt: This assignment is based on the conveyor belt project on p. 627-628 of your textbook, Project Management: The Managerial Process. For this assignment, do the following:
A. Using the file from Part 1, the information provided in Part 2 of the conveyor belt project on p. 627 from the textbook, and table A2.10, create
the project schedule and submit it as Microsoft Project MPP file. B. Prepare a schedule table reporting ES, LS, EF, LF, and slack for each activity. Append the table to your Microsoft Word file (see part 3). C. Include answers to the following questions in a Microsoft Word file:
1. When is the project estimated to be completed? 2. How long will the project take? 3. What is the critical path(s) for the project? 4. Which activity has the greatest amount of slack? 5. Identify two sensible milestones and explain your choices. 6. Compare and describe the advantages/disadvantages of displaying the schedule as a network versus a Gantt chart.
Guidelines for Submission: Using your downloaded version of Microsoft 2013, create the project schedule, save it as MPP file, and submit it. Save the answers in a Microsoft Word file named “CB-part2.” Use double spacing and 12-point Times New Roman font. Prepare a schedule table reporting ES, LS, EF, LF, and slack for each activity and append it to the Microsoft Word file.
