• NX Node DEB package: Open an xterm or similar terminal, move to the

directory the package was downloaded to, and install the package using the

following command to utilize the dpkg utility:

• NX Node Compressed TAR package: Open an xterm or similar terminal, go to

the directory containing the downloaded tar.gz package, and extract the

archive with the following command:

sudo tar xvzf nxnode-X.Y.Z-W.i386.tar.gz

Then, users can run the following setup script to install NX Node:

sudo /usr/NX/scripts/setup/nxnode --installPlatforms

Steps for installing the NX Server RPM Package are as follows:

1. Open an xterm or similar terminal.

2. Go to the directory the package was downloaded to.

3. Install the package using the RPM utility:

sudo rpm -ivh nxserver-X.Y.Z-W.i386.rpm

Steps to Install NX Server on Debian

Use the following steps to install NX Server on Debian:

1. Search for and install the following packages:

• OpenSSH server

• libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2 (search for glibc)

2. Install and run the NX Server.

• Download the packages in Figure 7-15 from the NoMachine Web site using

wget.
