The product on display here is an LG household appliance that can do several things at once. It is all about a washing machine that can also be used for making meals. The commercial uses the Band Wagon and testimonials propaganda techniques. The selling of the product is or advert is being conducted by one woman and some five young boys. The woman appears to be happy with the machine because of how it fast cleans the clothes.

The commercial lists several features of the product that makes it stand shoulders high above the rest. One, the commercial mentions the speed of the machine when cleaning that makes it a necessity for everyone to have, ‘it is a winning race against time.’ It also uses its size as a feature, this through the words written on the screen, ‘largest capacity, 31 cubic feet.’ It also says that the LG home appliance is an advanced cleaning with dramatization and is steam stimulated. On the LG Infra grill boiler, the commercial uses its speed which is that it cooks 24% faster than any conventional boiler element. The commercial uses the Band Wagon propaganda technique when it says that ‘it is something for everyone,' this is to imply that because everybody else is using it so we should also embrace it (Merkt, & Sochatzy, 2015). Additionally, it uses a woman who appears to be a mother in the house to vouch for the product. The woman is seen with the boys who soil her top and then she puts it in the cleaning machine where it is cleaned instantly. This technique was used to prove the speed of the machine. Again, the woman is also used to assert the speed of the grill through the fast rate at which the food gets ready thus providing a confirmation to potential buyers that the grill is faster than any other boiler in its functioning. The commercial uses audio and visual images to help sell the product effectively. Both techniques used in this commercial fit in the propaganda technique, that is the Band Wagon and the Testimonial technique (Merkt, & Sochatzy, 2015). This is because they fit the descriptions of the propaganda techniques presented in this class and in the notes in the attached links.

I think the company chose the best ways of selling the product. This is because of their wise choice of selecting the propaganda technique to be used. For example, the commercial uses testimonial technique to sell its product (Merkt, & Sochatzy, 2015). Use of testimonial helps to create trust with the consumers and convince them. This is because many consumers or customers will only prefer to buy a product recommended to them by friends or those that they have seen functioning (Merkt, & Sochatzy, 2015). Therefore, their use of this technique will attract more customers to buy the product because they have received the information from another customer. Additionally, its use of Band Wagon helps a customer feel left out and so feel the urge to purchase the product and thus winning more customers to the product. In conclusion, I think the commercial used these techniques effectively because it is more likely to win more customers rather than when other techniques are used.
