As a team of 4 (four) promising Health Informatics consultants, you will search and select an Electronic Health Record (EHR) software for a prospective client.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Your project includes a written report and a set of PowerPoint slides for summary / presentation. The report should cover the following issues.
§ Specific requirements (assumptions) for your client facility - Location - Services provided - Patients: volume, insurance hold - Staff: clerical, technical … - Third parties: hospitals, pharmacies, specialists, labs, insurance companies
§ Information about the software developer: - Contact information - Corporate information - Line of products and pricing - Product ratings from clients and other agencies
§ Information about software: - Functionalities - Interfaces with third parties (hospitals, pharmacies, insurances …) - Capacity / Limitations - Infrastructure requirement (hardware, network etc.) - Cost for leasing, customization and support - Implementation schedule

REPORT FORMAT
• Transmittal Memo to your client - Single spaced, line between paragraphs - Including list of members
• Executive Summary - What, Why, How much, How long - Double spaced, one page in length
• Body - About 15 pages, not counting appendices - Double spaced / Indent paragraphs
• References (if needed)
- Follow a standard format (APA), be consistent
• Appendices
- Tables, Charts, Diagrams, Screenshots …
- Label clearly for easy reference in the text
- Attach any documentation/ literature related to the selected software that you get from the developer or from the Internet.
• PowerPoint hand-out (6 slides per page)
