Goal & Strategy

My overall investment goal in a intermediate timeframe would be to create a emergency fund. I’m more confident towards taking up risk, since my risk tolerance is moderately aggressive. In fact, rather than just choosing large stocks, I've invested into several small-cap and mid-cap stocks which are seen to be risker. Being a moderate investor, my investments allow me to accept some risk to stay balanced. I want to be consistent with my goals also be able to spend within my budget.

In managing risk, it is key to have diversification, it helps to reduce volatility and loss exposure while increasing the potential for overall return. Having variety of options minimizes the risk of one asset hurting your portfolio—as in my case I invested all across industries, cap sizes, exchange-traded funds. The return I expect from the stocks would be somewhat growth and income. My ranges in caps, industries and ETF's will offer combination of other asset classes and immediate diversification eventually fitting to my overall investment strategy. I intend to build on my potential account value that’ll be giving something to look forward to for the next 3-5 years. DJ and S&P 500 Index will be used to measure my performance of stock selections.
