INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY 

FINAL PAPER

Your final paper for Introduction to Sociology will give you the opportunity to apply the key ideas, theories and sociological perspective to some topic of interest.  This paper will be worth 10% of your grade.  Another 2% of your grade is based on your proposal. You may use your topic from assignment #1, but are not required to do so. You should select a topic and, based on your research of the topic, have a clearly defined thesis statement that drives the key points of your paper.

Your final product will include a 5-7 page paper, using at least 3 outside resources.  Resources should be peer-reviewed, academic resources.  The paper should be submitted in APA format.

Your proposal is a 1 page description of the project which includes an overview of the topic of interest and the sources you plan to use.  This will give me an opportunity to provide you with feedback.
