The Haiku initial submission

For this assignment, students will write a haiku (with 3 stanzas) inspired by an image from one of the following sites:

Audubon. https://www.audubon.org/

Audubon Photography. https://www.audubon.org/

Nature Photography. https://www.nature.org/en-us/

Create an APA document with a running head, page numbering, a title page, and a reference page.

Title the haiku.

The syllable pattern in each of the three stanzas should be

Line 1: 5 syllables

Line 2: 7 syllables

Line 3: 5 syllables

Attempt to capture a single moment (preferably in the photograph selected), an “Aha!” moment.

Have a strategy, such as a comparison, contrast, association, and/or implied metaphor or simile.

Use specific images.

Submissions:

Assignment should be submitted by attaching a MS Word .docx file (feel free to use whatever font size and style you deem appropriate for your poem). Use the title of the painting for the title of your poem, so I know what painting you selected.
