Introduction
Event management means to plan the happenings of an event and also manage all the other necessary tasks related to it. Events can be of various types. Not only is it about cultural events only but also all the other types like corporate events, marketing events, family events and so on. This article is only about the business-related events and how to manage them. It is a potential industry of the future. More significantly event management needs management of simpler events as well like any corporate project and its relative events such as the corporate meetings, press meetings, business meetings and conventions, shows from corporate companies, fashion shows, launch shows, events in the company, events where teams are decided, simple parties, marketing events and so on and so forth. These are the types that an event management and planning body arranges (Allen, J., 2021). Now what are the works that they do under this planning are discussed below. Some of the common tasks are such that financial plans are made for a total event, fixing of dates and times, deciding upon the venue and making the necessary reservation processes, if any legal formalities are required to be done, catering services are arranged, transport facilities for the distinguished guests or the company people are done, all the necessary interior works regarding a particular theme are done, coordinating of various tasks and relative activities for the particular event is planned and managed, arrangement for volunteers and security system for the event and all the other arrangements are also done by them (Salama, M., & Raffaelli, Y., 2021). So it is understood that event management and planning is a vast area of discussion and also is very important in today's time. In corporate industry or other commercial industry, events take place every week which needs to be planned and executed properly. There are a few steps which needs to be followed by the event management team to ensure they have accomplished their work in the best possible way. They are given below- the first step is to know what is the event and what are the necessary things that needs to be done; next is to arrange for a good team who will do the necessary in the management and planning of the events; budget deciding is very important so estimates should be taken from the clients and tallying with the market should be done; decision of the date and time is a must depending on all the possibilities; management will include all the necessary points that has been mentioned above in order to make the event grand and the best; decision for the place of the event is to be made and also reserve it on the date and time; if there is any question regarding sponsorships that needs to be arranged; all the legal matters need to be settled; marketing and promotion plans should be done properly and finally there should always be a Plan B or a Plan C in case of any emergency if it may occur (Abor, 2020).
