One of the severest security breach incidents happened with Capitol one in July 2019. According to (), highly confidential data such as 140,000 Social Security numbers, 1 million Canadian Social insurance numbers, and 80,000 personal bank account numbers were accessed by hackers. The incident noted as the misconfiguration of firewalls on the web server of Capitol one bank (). The Capitol had built its customized web application and was using the Amazon web service’s cloud platform to host the application. As a result, the web application was hacked by hackers as it was easier for them to inject into their web applications firewall configuration.
