Interviews are a fundamental method for social science research. Semi-structured interviewing uses a set of interview questions, but provides interviewees some latitude in bringing in new information and topics that the interviewer may not have anticipated. This method is frequently used when exploring complex issues such as individuals’ worldviews and the narratives that shape their choices. This assignment includes a 30 minute to 1 hour interview with someone with a different background than your own; the assignment has three parts: 1) draft of interview questions (3 points), 2) positionality statement that provides context for your experiences, identities, and worldviews (½ to 1 page single spaced) (3 points), and 3) final draft of interview field notes including questions, responses, and your positionality statement (4 points). We will workshop the interview questions and positionality statements in class.

I need part 3 of this assignment

I need you to highlight the thesis statement please

it says to include positionality statement but don’t worry about it, I will add it.

The interview questions:

1. Please share with me a brief introduction about who you are and where you come from. 2. Think about an economic choice you made and share it with me. 3. On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the most difficult), how difficult was it to make this choice and why?  4. What factors played a role in coming to a final decision about your economic choice?  5. Do you believe that the lack money was an issue in taking a decision about your economic choice? 6. How different do you believe things would have been if you chose a different economic choice back at the time?  7. Is there anything you would like to add related to what we talked about today in the interview?
