Planning Process Interview Questions

· How do you use the decision-making in your role as a manager?

Make sure you follow company policies and procedures and being confidant in the decisions that you are making.

· What role does contingency planning play in your role as a manager? How do you apply critical thinking to contingency planning?

It is important because it causes you to think in advance so that you do not go into a situation not knowing. It prepares you for what to come. You do research inadvance and brainstorm so that you are prepared for what is to come.

· What roadblocks do you encounter when trying to apply creativity to your decision-making process?

The roadblocks could be when you are unsure and/or not prepared and lacking confidence. The opionins of others that may cause you to rethink your decision.

· Are any business settings more in need of contingency planning than others? If so, why might they require contingency planning?

No, because you should to have communication, excution and organization and planning to cover the bases of any and all businesses.

· What parts of planning are most likely to require a back-up play? Why?

Planning involves many different facets which can include groundwork, organization, and design. In the planning process you would need a back-up play for each part but the one that I think would require the most back-up play would be groundwork. Because of people. When you have to depend on others you never know when or what will happen. Therefore, a back-up play is usually required.

· What additional information do you think a future manager should know about decision-making, contingency planning, and critical thinking?

As a manager always be informed and know policies and procedures as well as be familiar with everything that pertains to the business. Be pro-active!
