PART 2: How does the assignment help understand primary care NP's role?

The interview assignment above helped me understand the primary care NP's role by providing

information about the NP's credentials, job description, and responsibilities. I also learned about

the NP's years of experience and leadership roles in their practice. I also learned about the NP’s

5

billing and reimbursement responsibilities (Norful et al., 2018). Finally, I learned about the NP's

general thoughts on being an NP. I also understood that primary care NPs play a vital role in the

healthcare system. They provide high-quality patient care and can form long-term relationships

with their patients and their families (Torrens et al., 2020). They are also responsible for billing

and reimbursement for their services. Overall, It was very informative interview which helped

me understand NP role and responsibilities during their practice , and gave me deep insight into

what to expect as I will start my journey in primary care.
