Module 4: Profanity in Communication

The use of profanity in communication in our world seems to be increasing.  Do you think communication technology (e.g., tweeting, texting) has had an effect on the use of profanity?  Why or why not?  Mass media certainly has an effect on profanity standards (i.e., television shows).  Why do you think they have relaxed their standards in this way?   (Note:  please do not use any profane words in the discussion forum)

When responding to classmates’ posts, consider times you have witnessed an increase in profanity in communication.

Remember to review the  academic expectations  for your submission.

Submission Instructions:

· Submit your substantive initial discussion post by 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday.  Then react critically to at least two of your classmates' discussion posts by 11:59 pm ET on Sunday.

· It should include at least 250 words, and one academic source, formatted, and cited in APA.

· Your contribution and responses must be authored by you. Do not copy or quote anything from the module or the internet without giving it proper credit.
