The internet/WIFI use policy
Overview
In the current world, many organizations have incorporated both WIFI technology as well as electronic main services in their organization. The main reason for doing this was to fasten the means of communication and acquisition of data from the internet or from other people in a far location. WIFI technology has made the access to the net very easy and cheap and using it is always an advantage to any organization. However, misuse had risen over the years which have been a menace as organizations struggle to return it under control. To help the organization and its employees, its control was necessary (Moon, E., 2018).
Purpose
Many organizations believe that controlling the use of Organization emails and WIFI is significant because it relates to the productivity of the whole organization and the employees personally. This plan will educate the employees and make them aware of the policies that are set in place, as well as the punishments that they will have to face if they break any of the policies. Internet polices are vital because any unauthorized access is detrimental to the whole organization.
Scope
The policies, rules and regulations that will be stated in this document will be effective immediately, and it will have effect on every employee including the board of directors. The Chief Executive Officer will be in charge of ensuring that everyone is in compliance. Also, any member or non-member of the organization that has an organization email will also be affected even if they are indirectly linked to the organization.
Policy
· Every employee using the internet in the organization should be considerate and use it exclusively for work purposes (Virgillito, D., 2018).
· Employees should be accountable for all data that is diverged from them because they will be monitored, and when need arises it will be retrieved because the data belong to the organization.
· As I have stated above, the data generated by the employee belongs to the organization, therefore the data from any emails sent will be documented, kept and monitored throughout by the department heading data security (Heathfield, S., 2019).
· All the emails that will be sent through the company email should only involve work related issues and any relations that directly or indirectly affect the organization.
Policy Compliance
The organization will be very strict when it comes to these policies because it has come to our attention that some employees think we bluff. Therefore, every actions relating to internet WIFI access or email messages will often be assessed. To be on the safer side, one should seek permission first before going against any of these policies. Any violation will attract thorough disciplinary measures, which also includes permanent loss of one’s job (Smith, S., GFI software, 2019).
