Consider the global operations of Anheuser-Busch In-Bev and make use of recent information on the Internet and from the assigned text book chapters for this week. Write a report to the corporate level executives on how to implement a supply chain for AB In-Bev, who is setting up a foreign operation for a new product called BIER in Poland. Where should production take place and why? Provide your recommendations. Think about location, but also other ways supply chain can work, importing from US, importing from another country, creating factories within the country, etc. Be sure to explain the WHY behind your alternatives/solutions.

The management of Target is nearly ready to proceed with their international expansion. The next item that is needed is the Strategic Plan.

For this assignment, your requirement is to research and write in APA format a Strategic Plan that describes, discusses, and analyzes the elements of how you are going to go global. Be sure to address the below topics:

Your recommended strategy for value creation

The value chain and how it will be managed

A description of core competencies (definition of what a core competency is and what are Target's)

A description of the Organizational Structure (definition of org. structure and what Target should implement)

A description of the Organizational Culture (definition of org. culture and what Target should implement)

Marketing and Pricing Strategies

Length: 8 or more pages. First page should be title page and last page should be a reference page, these can count towards your 8 pages.

In addition to the textbook material for this course (properly cited within the paper), you must also use at least five (5) peer reviewed journal articles or other textbook references. Use the SPC on-line library to search for and obtain journal articles for this assignment. Make a final recommendation whether Target should proceed or not proceed with international expansion into your specific country. Support your decision with at least 3 to 5 major concepts we learned from text over the past weeks. A recommendation to not expand is just as acceptable as a recommendation to expand, as you will be evaluated on how you support your decision. You are to write a 1 to 3 page short and concise recommendation based on your presentation about what Target should do in regard to international expansion. It should not exceed the three page limit; points will be given for being succinct and to the point. Again present your recommendation to expand or to not expand and support it with 3 to 5 main points from topics we learned throughout the course.

Be sure to cover the following topics:

1 - Why or why isn't it a good time for Target to expand internationally?

2 - Base your recommendation on 3 to 5 main points we covered throughout the course.

3 - Incorporate concepts from the text book chapters to support your recommendations.

Be sure to properly cite sources using APA format.
