Internship Site: IDPH, Immunization

Duties performed during this time:

I'm a GPSI assistant working in this division to keep up the ICARE which is an electronic vaccination registry. This week I managed Processing of e-mails from Medical providers endeavoring to secure permission to the State Registry to the general populace referencing Immunization records similarly as Helped ICARE staff to coordinate a CHIP (Children Health Insurance Program) focus on various state clinical consideration providers.

This internship has offered me a set of learning opportunities in every aspect that I can think of. I have attended a meeting on Logic Models and Performance Measures. This internship has offered me different opportunities to learn more about the month specific health events, During the weekly meeting and webinar I came to know that April has a significant importance. It has been recognized as a national autism awareness month. The month tries to bring issues to light about mental imbalance and to advocate that those influenced with mental imbalance can accomplish the greatest of life conceivable. Additionally, it has been also recognized as national minority health month.
