Duties performed during this time:

I am a GPSI intern working in this department to maintain the ICARE which is a web-based immunization registry. This week I worked on Processing of emails from Medical providers trying to obtain access to the State Registry to the general public requesting Immunization records as well as Helped ICARE staff to conduct a CHIP (Children Health Insurance Program) study on various state health care providers. Additionally, we celebrated black history month, Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.

Apart from that in office we had a WebEx meeting for safe practices during covid-19. All the I care staff were having meeting to maintain the safety at work places.HR of our department demonstrated the guidelines to maintain social distances, how to wear face masks and covid-19 incident report forms to report any corona cases at the work places.

Extra to that with progressing COVID-19 Vaccination plan our Immunization Section keeps up the Illinois Comprehensive Automated Immunization Registry Exchange (I-CARE), a framework for COVID antibody the executives and activities, which incorporates requesting, transportation, taking care of, and putting away methods for all antibody buys in the state. Add on to that I have worked on vaccination coverage level report of adolescents in Sangamon county. We have covered 15,210 patients in this month with Tdap 1, Polio 3+, MMR 2+, Hep B 3, Varicella 2.
