HUANG, J., WANG, L., & JUN, X. I. E. (2014). Thus, the researcher concluded that it is the responsibility of the managers to develop their own reputation that will help in enhancing the influence of the officials on the subordinates of the organization. Comment by Dr. Davis: You need to add a bit more depth of analysis to your annotations. An analytical or critical annotation not only summarizes the material, it analyzes what is being said. It examines the strengths and weaknesses of what is presented as well as describing the applicability of the author's conclusions to the research being conducted. Further, how can the study be generalized? What about transferability?

One of the unique information that has been highlighted by the authors of the research is that the behaviour of the leaders helps in enhancing positive relationship with the subordinates. It is the responsibility of the leaders to behave and influence the employees in w ay that will motivate and influence them. Thus it is right when the authors state that leaders should be competent and portray a qualified image that is appreciated by the followers and the outsiders.

Van Dierendonck, D., Stam, D., Boersma, P., De Windt, N., & Alkema, J. (2014). Same difference? Exploring the differential mechanisms linking servant leadership and transformational leadership to follower outcomes. The Leadership Quarterly25(3), 544-562.

This article examines the diverse mechanisms that transformational leadership (TFL) and servant leadership (SL) influence followers. The authors ascertain that SL and TFL leaders have different foci that are essential for diverse environments. The authors confirm that the TFL style emphasizes the followers' performance beyond expectations and collectives values instead of their personal needs and values. However, in the SL style, the leader must meet the follower's needs by developing employees' potential, self-motivation, community service, and trust. Besides, the authors ascertain the differential influences of SL and TFL styles rely on the attribution of leadership effectiveness and psychological needs for followers' engagement and commitment. The article confirms the TFL relationship with the followers' perception of leadership effectiveness is stronger than the SL style as the leader is at the center. The article further ascertains SL is positively related to followers' psychological needs satisfaction. However, both SL and TFL followers' followers' engagement and commitment to the organization.

The article is reliable for it provides vital and experimented information, with quality resources and sample for the study. The article's information is of high quality since it is tested and proven through three different studies before the conclusion. Besides, the article is relevant for academic, corporate, and research purposes. It arrives at an essential conclusion that enhances one's ability to understand SL and TFL overlaps, differences, and influence on followers. Thus, this article provides a productive foundation for evaluating and studying SL and TFL in the future.
